With a newly signed record deal and a fresh recording of a full length album, Collision Course enters 2010 with a modern sound and renewed confidence.
The record deal with Anstreet Records was landed last autumn and in the middle of the Swedish winter German producer Fabian Strangl came to help the band write songs for the album. He introduced a whole new way of thinking, and a week later all the songs for the album was written. In early March, five eager guys departed for Nuremberg, Germany, to record their label debute.
This was a like a dream come true for the band, who started out eight years earlier in Piteå, a small town in the north of Sweden. Since then, bandmembers have come and gone, the sounds have changed towards a big arena rock sound, combining the sounds of bands like The Killers, U2, and Foo Fighters with their own personal influences.
Prior to the new album, they have made two music videos, one full length album, an EP and several live gigs, as support acts for major Swedish artists, as well as arranging and headlining their own shows and playing on festivals.
Sometime this autumn, their new, yet unnamed, album will hit the stores. After that, only the future will tell what will come. Collision Course are prepared and ready to take on the bigger stages, and with a little luck and hard work, that might be the case sooner than you know ...
